While functional compatibility has been maintained in the newer versions, support for mixed aspect ratios and sizes has been added where possible. For that reason both versions have been attached to the descriptive posts. However the newer versions are formatted in a way that prohibits their use on older versions of Lightworks. If you already have the effects that you want and they compile on your system there's no need currently to do anything. There is also a zip file containing the entire effects library excluding transitions at the bottom of this post. They will not be in the master user effects zip file, but can now be downloaded from a zip file at the bottom of each post or in groups from each menu. Updated versions of all effects have the suffix 2022, for example MaskedBlur.fx in the new version is called MaskedBlur_2022.fx. With the advent of resolution independence and the need to support Apple's M1 hardware this library has been updated.
If you haven't done it before you will find full installation instructions in CUSTOM EFFECTS INSTALLATION. However it's really better to access that via effects browsing in 2023. There is also a link to the master zip file which contains all of the Lightworks version 2023+ library. You can download the individual files, or get them all from either link to a master zip file (below). Each effect is accompanied by a short description, a screen grab and, where appropriate, an example of it's use.
